He wants to be your best friend!!!

Im reading this book, its called "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. Its kinda like a devotional. It had 4o or so chapters and you read one chapter every day. The chapters are 3-5 pages long, not bad at all. lol. I def. reccomend this book, it is amazing! One chapter hit me hard, it was actually a split thing like 2 chapters covered ths topic. "God Wants To Be Your Best Friend" ツ

This hit me hard for some reason. I knew God wanted me, i know he wanted me to worship him and what not, but the words best friend and God never really crossed the same sentence. Its like how can you picture a best friends that you cant even see ya know? Well what is a best friend. My own opinion is someone who will always be there for you through the thick and thin, someone who will never hurt you, never break promises, someone you can tell pretty much everything too knowing they wont judge you, you know stuff like that is what we usually think of as a best friend.

Well what does a "best friend" have that God doesnt. He is ALWAYS there no matter what happeneds, You might feel like he has hurt you or betrayed you, but he hasnt, His Word clearly states he will NEVER break his promises, ya you can talk to him, and he wants you to, but it shouldnt be as hard to tell him simce he already knows [ex. you do something your ashamed to tell your friends, they dont know so you have to tell them]

"Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him" Psalm 25:14
In my opinion that you are only best freinds with God you kinda have to earn it, i mean he wants more then anything and has done so much for us, why wouldnt we wanna be friends with him. You cant be a fake friends ya know you have to show your Christian Values, if you keep it hidden that makes God think your ashamed of Him.

• Ways to get close to God-
  Through constant conversation- talk and pray to God whenever you have the chance.
• Through Continual Meditation- think about him and his word and everything he has promised, take time out of you life for Him.
• Be honest with God- pretty simple, he knows everything that is going on, why not tell him everything your feeling and what not
• Obey God in Faith- listen to him and do what he says. believe in him and dont doubt him, he knows whats best.
• Desire freindship with him more then anything- you have to want it to get it. You should do anything to have a friendship with him!

I got this all out of the purpose driven life. Its a great book guys, its awesome!
