wow i havent posted in a while.. mainly because my laptop was being dumb lol.

2008 was quiet the eventful year. i learned so much things and had to go through so many things... many i want to forget, many i will always cherish.

I have come to realize tht-

-I am nothing without God.
-That this life isnt a dream its reality.
-That change may not always be good but it happends
-I will never get *him off my mind.
-I may not always understand whats going on, but i should always know that God will handle things.
-That even when we fade from what matters most, we will always go back to it.
-School really does matter.
-Friends are pretty much everything.
-Besties are more =].
-Family IS everything!
-I cant make it a hole calender year without having some form of surgery =[
-Without my youth group and sunday school class i wouldnt be who i am today.
-That this time next year i will nearly be done with school.
-When tragedy happens in a small town, everyone is affected.
-I need to open up more instead of bottling everything up.
-Tht God is my only option, without him and his word, i would just be one of the many lost and lonley souls on earth who dont know how powerful this man can be.
-Even Christians make mistakes, but God will forgive.
Religion doesnt matter, as long as you love God and follow his word and himself.. nothing else should matter.

Its funny how the start of the new year can make you reflect on things that you have done, whether its the mistakes you have made, the achievments you have made, or the stuff were you spent so much time stressing and worrying when it was really nothing. 2009 is going to be full of changes, scary changes, good changes,bad changes, sad changes... but God wont put you through anything that he knows you cant get through, call on His name through good and bad, and just let him in your heart, and no matter what you go through, it will be easier then going through it alone.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU IN 2009, I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALL.

Been A While...

Well its only been a few days but it seems like forever..
Nothings really been going on.. just havent got around to blogging..
Mainly because i dont know what to say...
Haha i know i know ME NOT KNOWING WHAT TO SAY.. it seems impossible..
But it is possible..
For some reason i have been struggling with my faith and what not..
I mean i know everyone goes through this, but i have just felt so ashamed and what not ya know?
I mean everything was going so good... I have never been so close to God like this before, and for me just to go through this struggle, it was tough on me.
I couldnt pray.
I wasnt acting like myself.
I was falling back to my old self.[which isnt good]
I had know idea what was going on and i didnt like who i was becoming but no matter how much i would try to pray and i would try to go back to my christian ways..
But for some reason i couldnt change my heart..
But now things have changed =]
&& i know im not like back to my self yet..
and i dont think im in any condition like mentally.. to be posting anymore devotionals right now...
it wont be for long because i love spreading Gods word..
but i need to get it right with Him first...

bobbie michelle [=

Who is this you ask? This is Bobbie Michelle Brewer. She has been a friend of mine since i was 5 years old and she was 4. Me and her were on the same baseball team and the same Girl Scout troop. She is no longer with us... Bobbie passed away in a tragic car accident the morning of August 2, 2008. Bobbie was one of the reasons i became a Christian. She and a couple of other friends begged and begged me to go to church with them, and she was quite constintant about it too. Bobbie is a strong Christian with an amazing heart, every knew she loved the Lord with all her heart and no matter what she did good or bad, we know she was a believer of God and we know where she is now. This kid was only 14 when she passed away, she would of been 15 4 weeks later. We dont always understand why God takes people from us, especially at that age. Such a young innocent age and its very sad. I miss this girl more then anyone could understand. Were we really that close, no we werent, but she is part of the reason i am who i am today. You would never know how thankful i am for that. God wanted Bobbie in heaven &&& im happy she's up there instead of on this sinful world. Bobbie wasnt perfect, like us she made mistakes, mistakes most teenagers make at least once in there life, but Bobbie wasnt as lucky as most teeens, the mistake that she made ended up causing her own death, and a death of another 14 year old. Do we blame her for making the mistakes she did, in a way yes, she had total control of that night, those events could of easily been avoidable, but they werent, Bobbie was such a smart girl and she was amazing, she was so funny, like the way she ate a pickle was priceless, so if you ever see me eating a pickle in an unusual form and you ask what im doing, i will simply answer im eating a pickle "bobbie style" =] Its funny what we realize after someones gone. That we realize the important stuff that we should of thanked them for when it happend. Now its to late to see thank you even though she already knows it. Theres never a day that i dont think of her, hear her laugh, see her beautiful smile, but i know God is experiencing it and i know she is way better in heaven. I love you Bobbie, thank you for changing my life.

Her family is so broken her parents are trying to be strong but its an everyday struggle for them as you could imagin
We are getting by some better off then others but we are pulling through, we know she's in a better place and thats whats keeping everyone sane.

I LIED =D

I know i said i wasnt going to post until i got home but a video in church hit me hard today... It was about this homeless man who was so thankful for God and for everything he provides us with in life and on Thanksgiving...
So when we think of Thanksgiving we think of the Pilgrims and Indians and how they celebrated together and what not... and also when we think of Thanksgiving we think of turkey and dressing and all the fixings...
Open your eyes people... none... i repeat NONE of this would be possible without God. We all know that... but do we really express it over Thanksgiving.. the holidays are hectic... God understands that.. but that doesnt mean you push him out of your life when something gets hard.. Your not only doing this to eat a good turkey or to spend time with family..but your doing it for God... give thanks to all he has done for us and will continue to do...

Each man should gibe what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

These verses really jumped out at me... maybe because every verse in the bible hits me in some shape, form or fashion but nevertheless... its great lol
Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks... to your past and present to your family and friends... and especially to God and Jesus Christ.. if it wasnt for them we wouldnt have this amazing holiday to celbrate...

but its ok cuz its worth it bc i am soo ready to see my family down there.
plz pray for me as i travel, last time i flew it was the worst flight ever... followed by the worst day ever so yeahh... hopefully this time it will be better. lol. i lost my voice a couple of days ago so hopefully i will have it back by tomorrow lol. ooo and btw i got an ipod touch. whooo =] haha

Its amazing, we first veiwed this in church last year maybe and everytime i watch it, it hits me hard, it show the struggles of everyday life. Who knows it might also change your life. Its not that long of a video, so when you have time, watch it, i promise you wont regret it.


Ok so i love music, i think almost everyone does. Alt. Christian is most deffff my fave. Some of the songs make me smile, some make me cry, and others effect me in ways i cant describe. some people..

We have all been through hard times. Some more than others, but nevertheless we all know what its like to feel pain and to hurt, not only physically but emotionally as well. If your like me you let it get the best of you, you let the pain cut so deep that you just become a big ball of emotion waiting to explode. You dont take the time to calm down and look at the good in the bad situation, and if you are like me, God seems so distant, so unreal. As much as i hate to say it thats how i get. We have all heard the saying If He brings you to it He will bring you through it && that is so true, but its not all up to him. You choose to keep being sad and upset instead of saying ok God me and you are going to handle this in the way you would do so. God puts struggles in our life to make us stronger. He knows we can get through them eventually, he wouldnt put anything in our lives that we couldnt handle.
When we keep things bottled up inside, were like a ticking time bomb. Anything could set us off and we might do things that we regret. God wants us to cast our feelings upon him. He doesnt want us to keep things inside. He knows our struggles, he understands what we are going through, so why not tell him to get everything off your chest.

Joel 2:12-14- "Even now", declares the Lord, "Return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning." Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate,slow to anger and abounding in love, and to he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing-- grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God.

He says it in the bible. He wants you to come and cry with him to share whatever you maybe feeling in your heart good or bad. He wants you to pray about it, he wants to help you get through whatever you might be going through,but he's a gentleman and he isnt gonna barge into your life and try to control things, thats up to you, its your decision whether you want God into your life, but i promise, you might think you can do it alone that you have everything under control, but you dont, God can do marvolous things in your life if you let Him.

The point i was trying to reach was go to God for help with your problems because in the end he is the only one who can help you.

So a couple of weeks ago. You totally made my day. Not only did i get an email from you, but a letter too! i must be one of the luckiest people alive. =]
i am super excited to spend thanksgiving with you and your family. I bet you have grown up so much since the last time i saw you. I bet we will have alot of fun. I just hope we dont eat to much. lol.
I have never been to your house before so you will have to give me a tour of it when i get there.
Well i just thought i would write you back on my blog because im not a good letter writer =]

**this is for lincoln obviosly. A couple of weeks ago i got a email for him while i was at school and then when i got home there was a letter from him in my room. i was having a bad day and it just made me so happy to recieve these. i thought it would be cool to write him back through the blog lol. mainly cuz its easier and cheaper to send. i am going to houston in a week and i am super excited. and were going to dallas to see the fm4 i am so ready to get out of od its unreal. lol. well thts all for now. in christ love-danlyn

this kid..

This kid right here is Tobey.

He is basically my life. He is my nephew and he just happens to live right next door to me. Without him idk how i could even walk on this earth without a smile on my face. God gave me the greatest gift i have ever recieved when he was born. I was going through one of the hardest times of my life and just seeing him the day he was born gave me the hope and strength i needed to get through to where i am today. Anytime i am depressed or mad he can put a smile on my face. Anytime im going through a hard time he tells me everything will be ok and he gives me a big hug. This kid os one of the funniest kids i know. He could make you laugh even if u didnt have a sense of humor. My life without this kid wouldnt be right. Hes only 5 years old and i am closest to him out of my hole family. He's one of my best friends and i would do anything for him. God knew i needed this guy in my life and i am happy he gave him to me and my family. I love this kid with all my heart and one day when he is reading this i hope he knows it =]

Temptation

Temptation.

Many of my friends are leading the wrong lives, whether its partying,drugs are just doing stupid stuff in general. Leading a Christian life in the world today is a struggle, but its nothing that Gods not gonna help you get through, he knows what we face, the everday struggles that us humans go through. He knows everything before it happends... Living for God comes with responsibilities. How can we claim to be Christians if we dont lead Christian lives? Temptation is something alot of people struggle with, adults and teens every day are faced with decisions that can make our faith seem like a joke. Temptation can be anything that you might be pressured in to doing that you know isnt right. [not all cases but in the cases im talking about it is] Drinking, doing drugs, having sex, doing anything dumb that we know is wrong. Teenagers are faced with this alot more then adults but its always good to know.

Overcoming temptation.

Overcoming temptation can be quite difficult and it can be hard to make a decision. But God doesnt put anything in your way that he knows you cant handle. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says.."No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyong what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will aslso provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." Thats a powerful verse.. it really makes you think...all those times you were pressured into doing something..maybe you questioned God..why he didnt help you... He did help you.. easily could you of said no.. thats one of the many ways God helps you out.. in the end its your option, but dont say God wasnt there to help you choose, because he gave you an option.

Another way to over come it is to remember the command of God. Romans 6:13 says.." Do not offer any parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness,but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought to death to life; and offer the parts of your bodyto him as instruments of rightousness"

All God wants from you is to live for him and hey thats the least we can do.. he sent his one and only son to die on the cross for our sins... he did that for us.. so we can live good lives and become his followers. He cares about each and every one of us and he wants nothing but the best for us.

Three things to remember..

• OTHERS ARE FACING THE SAME THING. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
• GOD WONT LET THE TEMPTATION BECOME UNBEARABLE. NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL,YOU CAN RESIST.
• GOD WILL PROVIDE A WAY OUT. LOOK FOR AN ESCAPE HATCH!

I KNOW THIS WAS PROLLY VERY BORING TO READ, BUT I FELT THAT GOD WAS CALLING ME TO DO SO... I PLAN ON DOING A WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL AND IF YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS PLZ TELL ME. I DONT PLAN ON BLOGGING ONLY DEVOTIONALS BUT I WILL BE POSTING RANDOM THINGS LOL.
